In an unexpected change of events, a challenge has been made. Ok let me explain. In making posts at animemusicvideos.org's forum about the upcoming November Lip Sync AMV Challenge (click here to view current amv contest.) A comment about one of the rules for the contest was made about the time limit being too long. Me wanting to hear everyone's suggestions, asked if the rule should be changed. One member from the forum stated that the minimum time limit should be shortened to 1 minute rather than the 2 minutes that is stated in the rules.
I tried to explain the reason the time limit being the way that is is, and the member of the forum said that it seemed that I was saying that a lip sync video couldn't be made in less than two minutes. I never said that a video couldn't be made in less than that time, I was just giving the creator time to actually make a good video that has a meaning behind the video besides the anime lip singing to the song. Anyway the forum member (Haunter103 as he is referred to online) stated that he would not enter the contest. Maybe because his video didn't meet the time limit. But in a joking manor he stated that he didn't want to enter the contest anyway.
I didn't want a contestant to not enter the contest because they didn't agree with the rule so I challenged him that if his video, which is shorter than the two minutes stated in the rules, can get past the judges, and can beat the current best overall, then he could enter the contest and his video would be displayed on the amv site for the rest of the year. So now we are here. His video has been approved by the judges and his video will be up against the current best overall video. This will not be for any title, this would just be for a bet between me (siragin) and him (Haunter103). So I would publicly like to apologize to Haunter103. It seems that you can make a good lip sync video in less than 2 minutes. In my defense, the video with out the credits was a good minute and 30 seconds. You could have made the time limit if you wanted to. But anyway from November 7, 2009 to November 10, 2009 voting will be between Haunter103's video titled I Like You V. S Sanj008's Death Note AMV: Chop Suey. If Haunter103 wins his video will be entered in the contest and even if he wins his video will remain on the site. If he lose, the only way he could enter the contest is to make the time limit of 2 minutes. Sanj008's title will not be on the line.
Update: the winner of this short challenge was Sanj008 over Haunter103 (3-0).
